ACTIVISM?

Activist: is an advocate, a promoter who seeks the well-being of victims, the depraved, and those treated unjustly to bring about positive change.

Activism: is any practice or action that helps a person or group achieve their social or political goals or demonstrate or advance their ideals or beliefs.

Activism should be the very nature of those who call themselves Christians because Jesus is our example of an activist and activism (LUKE 3:18-19, JOHN 10:10). The Seven Woes is Jesus' activism against an unjust polio-socio-religious system.

Matthew 25:31-46 displays social activism/engagement, seeking change for those who are oppressed and less fortunate.

Luke 10:30-37, the story of the good Samaritan, shows the activism of one that the religious world despised (Samaritan) and the nonactivism of a religious leader (pastor, preacher, prophet, etc.) and religious parishioner (church folk). This shows that activism should be the behavior of those who claim to be the people of God. This is not a compromise of conviction but shows that a believer has already compromised their convictions when they refuse to be an activist for those society has left for dead, for those who have been a victim of Grand larceny, murder, and genocide.

From Old Testament to the New Testament displays the activism of God and that Jesus was not only our Savior but an example of activism:

Isaiah 58:5-11, Amos 5:10-15. Micah 6:9-16, Matthew 25:31-46, Luke 4:18-22
