THE ERROR OF WHEN STORIES AND EXPERIENCES BECOME DOCTRINE

Teachers, preachers, and leaders run down the slippery slope of error. They walk through the avenue of falsehood and deception when they take a specific thing, story, or action in the Bible that God either told or did for someone for a particular reason at that specific time and then teach it as a universal doctrine. Teachers/preachers take what God told or did to or for someone and make that experience out of a doctrine/principle/ideology that is inconsistent throughout the Scriptures or the teachings of Jesus. That would be like God giving me a way of handling a particular situation in my life, and then I turn around and teach it as a doctrine rather than use it as a testimony. A Biblical story or someone's testimony can be based on universal doctrine, but the how, when, where, who, or why should not become universal doctrine. God can take two people dealing with the same situation, but because of the how, when, where, who, and why come out with two completely different testimonies. Some stories are not to be preached or taught as a universal doctrine but as testimonials of who God is in particular situations. When we do that, then we see His omnipotence and why He's called Elohim (strong one), Adonai (Master/ruler), El Roi (The God who sees me. is all-knowing), El Shaddai (God Almighty), Jehovah Jireh (The Lord will provide), Jehovah Rapha (The God that heals), Jehovah Nissi (the Lord is my banner), Jehovah Shalom ( the Lord is Peace), Yahweh Tsuri (God is my rock. my strength, my protector, he is my defense), and Yahweh Rohi (God our Shepherd, the Lord is my caregiver).

In conclusion: what God did for me and the way He did it for me, He won't do for you, but because of who He is and because He knows the how, when, where, who, and why we both will have a testimony to tell.
