Ironically, some will preach and teach the truth, but those same preachers and teachers will be the most resistant to, the most rejecting of, most defiant of, and less welcoming of the truth when it comes knocking on their door. Those are the ones that have something to hide; they are wolves in sheep's clothing. They are the ones who don't want revealed who they truly are because they are like white tombs, which from the outside appear lovely, but from within are full of the bones of the dead and all corruption and self-seeking hearts. They are experts at using the Scripture (Truth) to cover up their hypocrisy, not their imperfections but their hypocrisy. We have grace for our imperfections (1 John 2:1), but there is no advocacy for hypocrisy (Matthew 23). This kind of hypocrisy travails within the womb of these leaders as they give birth to those with the same DNA, those who will not tolerate sound doctrine; instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of preachers and teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. Those who will preach and teach a clay-like truth, truth that can be molded into any form one likes. And so, teacher and student will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to fallacy. One can only assume that these "leaders" have such hostility toward the truth because it cannot be used for gain, to boost their status, or to make them look good; most of all, it tramples over their ego. They band the truth from themselves and refuse to hear it. That's when truth becomes manipulation and when manipulation of the truth happens. This is when truth is made up of lies, and lies become truth. That's what Scripture says. That's the truth and nothing but the truth.
