16TH AND 21ST CENTURY LEAVEN OF THE PHARISEES

Some people don't know the Scripture because they don't study it; they regurgitate what they've heard for years, for centuries even. We've been so used to hearing teachings and preachings of the eisegesis of Scripture, with no introduction to the exegesis of Scripture. Binging on 16th-century Western ideology and idolatry used to justify the most insidious actions and intent, all in the name of Jesus. It was the religious leaders he told to search the Scriptures because their actions and intents weren't a testimony of what Jesus came to do (John 5:39, John 10:10). And for this, we're living in the leaven of the Pharisees of the 21st century; of which Jesus at that time warned the future leaders (his disciples/Apostles) of the Church to be aware of (Matthew 16:6).
